Recently, Travel + Leisure magazine compiled a list of the best sought-after suburbs across the U.S., and Johns Creek, Georgia, earned the top spot. This ranking was based on insights from real estate experts and assessments of livability.

Situated about 30 miles north of Atlanta, Johns Creek has been recognized as the number one suburb in the country. Remarkably, it’s the only city from Georgia to make it onto this prestigious list.

Residents like Daniel Herrera are enthusiastic about what Johns Creek has to offer. “I appreciate the safety, the parks, the natural surroundings, and the friendly community,” he says, highlighting the suburb’s appeal.


According to Communication Director Bob Mullen, Johns Creek is notable for its diversity. “For a city of its size, Johns Creek is one of the most ethnically diverse suburbs in the Southeast. We have businesses that cater specifically to various ethnic groups,” he explains.

The city’s website reveals that Johns Creek is home to 85,814 residents, with nearly 46.2% of the population identifying as non-white. The Asian community is the second-largest group in the city.

Johns Creek is also recognized for its affluence, boasting a median household income of over $130,000 and a median home value of $704,470, according to Zillow. The suburb is praised for its low crime rates, excellent schools, and abundant recreational opportunities, making it an attractive choice for families.
